We fly from Paris to Lisbon and basically walk from the airport across the street to our hotel for the night.

We walk back from the hotel to the airport--about a 4 minute walk. It's raining so we get our umbrellas out. Exciting stuff. Actually, we would have LOVED to have posted up in Lisbon for awhile and gotten out to see the town. We loved our time in Portugal this past summer and Lisbon looks amazing. However, it's off to Miami.
After a long flight we land in Miami and rent a car. We are off to Boca Raton to stay with my father and stepmother, Chris and Patsy Canning. We are looking forward to a few chill days with some great home cooking, a real home to sit around in, and family to visit.
The kids are tickled to see all the American stores, like Home Depot, as we drive from Miami to Boca. We stop for lunch and it's such a novelty to hear English being spoken by everyone.

Happy 15th birthday to Jack! His big request is to have his favorite meal, a bean and cheese burrito at Chipotle. Easy enough to accomplish. And Pat comes through with an ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins. Another Jack favorite.

Dmitri, Mia and I head to a CVS to get our Moderna boosters. I have now gotten 3 shots in 3 different states. I got my first Moderna dose in California, my second dose while I was in Hawaii and Florida is where I get my booster. Ah, travel.

Beautiful sunset

Jack gets his Pfizer booster today and the rest of us lie around like dead things trying not to feel too lousy from our boosters.
Mia and Granddad discuss getting matching tattoos and it's fun to not be on the go. Have I said how much we are liking the home cooking?????
We do an early Christmas gift exchange.

Reindeer socks for Jack!!!

All too soon it's time to pack up and leave. We are planning on a Caribbean cruise for the next 10 days. It'll be warm breezes, tropical drinks, and vacationing teens running around the cruise ship--our kids are VERY excited to mix with kids their own ages.

Happy to see you back a it!
